Take a journey on the Rocky Mountaineer 

The Rocky Mountaineer is where the majesty of the Rockies meets the comfort of luxury train travel. This luxury train is on many peoples Bucket Lists and it is not hard to see why!

Embark on the journey of a lifetime with our Passage to the West Rocky Mountaineer package. See below your detailed itinerary:

Day 1 - On day one you will fly direct from London Heathrow to Calgary. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Banff, where you will spend two nights.

Days 1-3  - During your journey on the Rocky Mountaineer, you will embark on the “First Passage To The West” trail, traveling from Banff all the way to Vancouver making many exciting stops along the way. Your Rocky Mountaineer experience will last for 6 days (5 nights), with all of your time on the train being spent during the day, with overnight stays in nearby hotels. 
You will start your experience with 2 days in Banff, before embarking on the Rocky Mountaineer and traveling to Kamloops. Whilst in Banff, you will have all your national park passes included, so you will be able to enjoy Banff at your leisure. Whilst in Banff, there is plenty to do in the area, including; canoeing, fishing, bird watching, mountain climbing, hiking, and cycling.

Day 3  - Day 3 is the day where you will join the Rocky Mountaineer. You will be picked up from your Banff hotel and dropped off at your luxurious train, where you will spend the day travelling from Banff to Kamloops. After your day on the Rocky Mountaineer, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kamloops.

Whilst on the train, you will be greeted by exceptional hosts with spectacular storytelling skills to narrate every step of the way. You will be able to enjoy world class cuisine with breakfast and lunch, as well as gourmet sweet and savoury snacks, with all your beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) included. The Rocky Mountaineer comes equipped with comfortable, reclining seats with leg room and impressive glass-dome windows so that you can take in all of the jaw-dropping scenery on this once in a lifetime experience.

Days 4-6 - After your stay in Kamloops, you will then travel to Vancouver. Before you embark on your Alaska cruise, you will spend 2 nights in a Vancouver hotel. 

Whilst in Vancouver, why not visit the iconic Stanley Park? The 1000 acre park in Vancouver is one of the main attractions in the beautiful city of Vancouver, boasting sandy beaches, swimming pools, lakes and stunning vistas from the sea wall. 
As our packages are through summer, you will be in for a treat as you will be almost guaranteed a whale sighting in Vancouver as 100’s of whales migrate to Vancouver for the summer months. 

Which Rocky Mountaineer package is for me?

There are two different tiers you can select for this amazing Rocky Mountaineer experience: SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf. Both of these packages include; reclining, comfortable, pre-assigned seating with ample leg room; gourmet sweet and savoury snacks; engaging hosts with stores about historic sites, scenery, and wildlife; and luggage delivery to your overnight hotel accommodation. 

The GoldLeaf tier gives you access to a large, exclusive outdoor viewing platform where you can take in all of the sights along the breath-taking trail, with the SilverLeaf tier offering a smaller outdoor viewing area. 

Both experiences include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, with GoldLeaf passengers being able to order signature cocktails and premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. 

There is one extra host for those purchasing the GoldLeaf package, as well as a full culinary team, to ensure that all of your needs are met at all times. Whilst both tiers include world class cuisine, GoldLeaf passengers will be served gourmet à la carte meals in the lower-level dining room, whereas SilverLeaf passengers will be served regionally-inspired meals in the comfort of their seats. 

In my opinion, the biggest difference between the two tiers is the windows. If you choose to purchase the GoldLeaf package, you will be able to take in the outstanding views from full glass-dome windows with panoramic views, as opposed to the smaller windows installed for the SilverLeaf package.

Hello and Welcome to Bucket List Travel's Blog 'Travel Bold' Bucket List Travel is the sister company of a very successful Cruise Specialist 'Cruise365' who was established in 1998 by Anthony Blackmore. For years we have been getting asked by our Cruise Guests if we could offer them tours, road trips, rail holidays and other land mark memorable non cruise holidays and finally we can. Anthony came up with the idea of Bucket List Travel at the Top of Africa (literally as he was walking and scrambling to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania). After the exhilarating experience of summiting the World's Highest Free Standing Mountain and when the oxygen levels rushed back to his body on his way back down, his thoughts turned to this being a moment he would never forget and a true tick from his personal Bucket List. That's when the lightbulb moment came, if he could feel so good about a true Bucket List experience why can't our amazing guests. Much talk in the office has been about what makes up a Bucket List and what became obvious, there wasn't a straight answer as a person's Bucket List is personal to them.
